FAQ

Will BIJ1 participate in the upcoming elections?

The next elections are the parliamentary elections in 2021, in which we hope to get seats with your help. Read about our programme and check out our candidates! Keep an eye on our social media channels to see when and where you can cast your vote for BIJ1.

What is the status of my membership?

Have you registered as a member via the website and paid your contribution? Congratulations! You are now an official BIJ1 member. You should receive a confirmation of this via email, and then also newsletters and invitations. If this isn't the case, something may have gone wrong within our administration. Please contact us via partijbureau@bij1.org and we will solve it for you.

Why should I become a member and how do I join?

As a paying member, you help us with your contribution. In addition, you will also receive our newsletter, invitations to member meetings and special events. Click here and sign up today. Welcome AT1!

Where is BIJ1 locally active?

BIJ1 is a national political party and therefore considers it important to be locally present. BIJ1 is represented with a local department in Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht. BIJ1 is setting up departments in The Hague, Leeuwarden, Groningen, Leiden, Den Bosch, Eindhoven, Almere, Hilversum, Nijmegen-Arnhem and many more places. Is your municipality not listed here? Start your own department! BIJ1 considers it important that all our departments endorse our ideals and core goals. We also invest a lot of time and energy in our (online) communication. We think it is important to show unity in our diversity. Contact our local departments team about starting a local department and we will support you in this.

I'm already a member of a different party. Can I still join?

Of course! There is no limit to the number of parties you can become a member of.

When are events and am I welcome?

You are very welcome to join one of our events. For example, the departments in Utrecht and Rotterdam regularly organize events for members and non-members, and the Amsterdam group regularly organizes a 'Political Café'. Keep an eye on social media to see when we get together.

How do I contact Sylvana Simons?

You can contact us through this form. We always try to get back to you within 3 to 5 working days.

I would love to become a member, but I can't afford it. What can I do?

We believe that your financial situation should not stop you from joining. For the people who can't afford to miss € 30 per year with the party membership, a reduced rate can apply. Please contact us to request more information about this.
